Welcome!

I’m Kate, a Chicago-based learning specialist and self-made instructional designer. I grew up in Belarus, in a world where “L&D” wasn’t really a career path, so I built my own: consulting on study abroad programs, working across countries like China, the Netherlands, Norway, and the US, and studying how different cultures design education.

Today, I work like a learning architect: I design experiences that fit naturally into people’s daily work while preparing them for what’s next. My process always starts with research and active listening, and I’m known as the person people can turn to when something isn’t working.

I’m usually the first one to dive into new tools, whether that’s video editing, knowledge bases, or generative AI workflows, and I love helping teams use them to make learning design and maintenance faster, smarter, and more sustainable.

Established Learning Specialist with diverse international experience

My passion is in helping people thrive in their roles and discover that learning can be fun.

Here are a few of the programs I've used, though this list is far from complete. I'm skilled in many more! As a lifelong learner with a passion for technology, I find it easy to adapt to new software.
